Fed open-market operations

Федеральная резервная система увеличивает банковские резервы путем покупки государственных ценных бумаг США или сокращает их, продавая ценные бумаги. Временные вливания в резервы производятся посредством соглашений об обратной покупке, тогда как изъятие средств проводится с помощью встречных соглашений о продаже (соглашений, обратных соглашениям об обратной покупке). Участники рынка и аналитики тщательно анализируют эти операции в надежде определить, будет ли Федеральная резервная система увеличивать или уменьшать резервы, что приводит к снижению или повышению процентных ставок.
